Chinese Calendar (Chinatwo 1992)

Arnold wanted to travel the world and use his art to depict what he was seeing. He  combined different elements from different cultures into his work. While trying to sell his drawings in Chinatown, New York,  Arnold was inspired by the shops with Chinese signs. Arnold was drawn to form of Chinese Calligraphy because it related to his patterns based off of the South and Central American cultures. However, Arnold continued to plan his next trip to Russia and began playing with different Chinese signs in the formation of a calendar.
